Our Dogwalking Service
Happy Doggie Offers a full hour off-leash bliss for social dogs!
Each day we take packs of friendly, social dogs on hour-long
walks in the park! In warm weather the pooches get to run through
fields, tall grass, trees and bushes, it's a paradise for playful dogs!
On sweltering summer days we go swimming which the dogs love
and it cools them down too!
In the winter, the gang plays in the snow (often head-first!), and they
often gets a GREAT workout!
We have been walking dogs in Ottawa for almost
10 years! November 2009will be Happy Doggie Dogwalking's 10th Anniversary!

Benefits of hiring a Dogwalker:
Exercise: Important for your dog's health and overall happiness. We take your dog on a good hour long walk in the park. Our walks are off-leash, giving the dogs a chance to run around and get a good workout.
Lowers stress
Decreases behavioral problems
Tires your pooch out! He'll likely be too pooped to cause any havoc!
Relieves boredom (the common cause for troubled behaviours!)
Socializing Your pooch will get a chance to meet and play with many dogs of various ages and breeds.Very important for the social canine!
We provide the following:
Exercise and playtime for your dog when you're at work or away on a trip. Or during the winter when it's cold and wet outside and you'd prefer not to go outside!
A ride to and from the park, and if necessary, we'll dry off your dog and clean up any messes.
Fresh water regularly as well as 'good dog treats', our homemade bakery goodies! (unless you tell us no treats).
Reinforcement of training he/she is undergoing with you, according to you instructions and suggestions.
A social atmosphere for your pooch in the park. In addition to our other furry pals we take, your dog will likely see/meet or play with other dogs in the park.
If requested, we can feed your pooch when he/she is dropped off. Since we are the owners and dogwalkers of Happy Doggie Walking and have no staff, you can be assured that we'll be the only one walking your dog and entering your house. However, if we take any time off we do have a back up dog walker (who also runs a dog walking service in the area) who can take your dog while we're away. Otherwise, we do not hire staff so you know you'll have a known, experienced person entering your house and taking care of your dog.

When deciding to use a Dogwalker, there are a few things to keep in mind. Is your dog friendly and social?
We only take friendly, social dogs. We cannot unfortunately take dogs who are aggressive.
Also, we ask that your dog's shots are up to date, including kennel cough as it's highly contagious.
Our walks are off-leash so we can only take dogs who are used to being off-leash and will come to their
name. If your dog is extremely small or doesn't do well off leash & come when called,
our midday adventures in the park probably aren't a good match for your pooch.
